👻 Easy Halloween Oreo Truffles (a.k.a. Spooky Little Ghosts That Taste Amazing)
If you’re looking for a Halloween treat that’s equal parts creepy-cute and ridiculously easy, these Halloween Oreo truffles are it. I swear, they look a little… haunted, but they taste like pure chocolatey heaven. I’m not exactly a decorator (you’ll see what I mean below), but somehow these turned out just spooky enough to totally fit the vibe.
Now, if you can’t do Oreos — gluten-free or not — don’t panic. I tried these with one package of Cybelle’s Free-to-Eat chocolate chip cookies and about four ounces of cream cheese (double it if you’re making a big batch). Honestly, they were delicious. You can use any cookie! Still, there’s something about the Oreo version that wins my heart — maybe nostalgia, maybe the crunch.
To make my little ghosts, I shaped the truffles a bit taller instead of perfectly round and gave them a quick dip in melted chocolate. Then I rolled out some marshmallow fondant (which turned out to be way easier than I expected!). Pro tip: sift your powdered sugar if you have time. I did not. My fondant came out a little lumpy, but we’ll call it “textured ghost couture.” 😂
So yes — they might look a tad spooky, but trust me, these truffles are boo-tifully delicious and guaranteed to disappear faster than Halloween candy on November 1st. 😅
