The Best Dairy Free Caramel Sauce

 Dairy-Free Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar

  • ¾ cup salted dairy-free butter, cut into pieces (I used Violife)

  • ⅓ cup dairy-free heavy cream (I used the Silk brand)

  • Pinch of table salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, dairy-free butter, milk, and salt.

  2. Place over medium heat and stir continuously until the butter has fully melted.

  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. Allow the caramel sauce to cool—it will thicken as it cools.


Serving Ideas:Perfect for dipping apple slices, drizzling over ice cream, or adding to any dessert that needs a touch of rich, buttery sweetness. (Hint: that’s pretty much everything!)
