Best Classroom Party Treat!

Here is a link to the dairy free melting morsels!

If you need an easy, school-safe treat that everyone can enjoy, these allergy-friendly Rice Krispie Treats are always a good choice. I made them for my child’s class Christmas party, and they were a hit with both allergy kids and non-allergy kids alike.

They’re simple to make, familiar, and stress-free—perfect for busy days and classroom celebrations. This time, I dressed them up by dipping them in dye-free, dairy-free melts for a fun, festive touch while keeping everything allergy-friendly.

The full recipe is below, along with links to the allergy-friendly melts I used, so you can make these with confidence for your next school party or holiday gathering.

Dairy-Free Christmas Tree Rice Krispies Treats 🎄

Ingredients

• 8 tablespoons dairy-free butter

• 2 bags mini marshmallows (about 11 cups total- campfire brand is allergy friendly)

• 12 cups gluten-free Rice Krispies cereal (Real cereal brand is from a gluten/nut free facility.)

Assorted sprinkles (for ornaments)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Pan

Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Set aside.

2. Melt Butter and Marshmallows

In a large pot over low heat, melt the dairy-free butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.

3. Add Cereal

Remove the pot from heat. Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.

4. Spread and Cool

Transfer the mixture to the prepared sheet pan. Press it evenly into the pan using a spatula or wax paper. Let cool completely.

5. Cut into Trees

Once cooled and firm, cut the Rice Krispies treats into triangle shapes to resemble Christmas trees.

6. Dip in Candy Melts

Melt the green candy melts according to package instructions. Dip each triangle into the melted candy, coating the front (or fully, if you prefer). Place on parchment paper.

7. Decorate

Before the candy coating hardens, add sprinkles to decorate the trees like ornaments.

8. Set and Serve

Allow the candy coating to fully harden. Serve and enjoy!
